CDCFIB Releases New Update on 2025 Recruitment
In a circular titled “Re: Status Report of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB)”, the Board has shared new details regarding the upcoming 2025 recruitment exercise for the four paramilitary services under its jurisdiction.
According to the update, the CDCFIB is currently seeking a waiver to reduce the required advertisement period for the recruitment notice in national newspapers—from the statutory six (6) weeks to a shortened duration of three (3) weeks.
The circular references the approval granted by Mr. President for the recruitment of 30,150 personnel across the four services, as well as 209 additional staff for the CDCFIB Secretariat. This approval includes provisions for the recruitment of doctors and nurses for the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Breakdown of Recruitment Numbers by Agency

2. Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) – 10,000 personnel
3. Federal Fire Service (FFS) -5,000 personnel
4. Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) – 10,000 personnel
5. CDCFIB Secretariat — 209 personnel
According to Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) management, its attention has been drawn to a Letter in circulation on the social media with respect to its recruitment process.
The Board said It is important to inform the general public that though there is a Presidential approval for the recruitment of personnel in the four (4) Paramilitary Services under its purview, there are series of processes which leads to the actual recruitment exercise.
The Board wishes to reiterate that for all its recruitment processes, appropriate notifications would be done via adverts in the national dailies and it would be carried out in a fair and transparent process devoid of payment of any fee.
To this effect, members of the public should be weary of the activities of recruitment racketeers who may want to take advantage of unsuspecting job seekers to rob them of their hard-earned resources.
